Brisbane House Hotel sits right on the Largs promenade, looking straight out over Largs Bay and the Firth of Clyde towards Great Cumbrae. It's one of the most photographically distinct wedding venues in Ayrshire — there isn't another setting quite like it in the west of Scotland.

The venue operates as exclusive-use, so on your wedding day it's entirely yours. The Brisbane Suite has floor-to-ceiling glass that opens onto a private terrace with unobstructed sea views. The Wallace Suite is a dedicated getting-ready space. There's a duplex honeymoon suite, 17 guest bedrooms, and a seafront that gives you portrait backdrops most venues simply can't offer.

I've photographed weddings at Brisbane House and I know exactly how the light works here. The morning sea haze. The way the Clyde catches the sun in the afternoon.
